The individually handcrafted Texas fossil limestone and granite crosses and gifts pictured on this page are made in Edge, Texas, by Texas craftsman, John Lawrence. In addition to supporting his family, proceeds from the sale of these items support SHIP’s humanitarian projects in the Bryan, Texas, area and in El Salvador. Some of the projects in El Salvador include home building and repair, educational scholarships, and a women’s work center.
After a number of years of working with the stone, John credits the Lord for providing him with the wisdom and understanding of what to make and how to make it. He has also provided the tools and materials needed. Over the years, Marble Craft and and other local companies have supplied much of the stone materials. Many of the items were created from customers’ ideas and suggestions.
