It looks like we might be a day behind in posting this to our blog. That’s okay though. We can still pray together this week, whatever day we start. Thank you for praying for us and with us. Your prayer mean so much.
As we all know, the past couple of years have been unprecedented/historic/challenging/a real pain. Take your pick. They’ve been all of those things. But, our work during that time hasn’t been impossible. God has been so good to us. He has anticipated every need and made a way when things have seemed impossible, and we are praising Him for those provisions. Here is what we’re praying this week:
- This week we thank God that He has provided the building materials we’ve needed to continue work on our classroom building. If you’ve tried to build/renovate/repair anything over the past year, you know the struggle. Materials are scarce, and prices are high. A few months ago, we learned that the price of steel was about to go up, but we also learned of a big steel supply that we could purchase. Then, the concrete blocks we use were becoming hard to find, and, of course, the price was going up on them, too. After calling all around San Salvador, the amazing Marianna (who oversees purchasing of building supplies) found good quality blocks at a great price. “And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:19
- Looking at our social media over the past week, it looks like most everyone is heading back to school. We want to pray for all the students (big ones, little ones, in between ones) who are headed back to school. We pray for their safety, and we pray that they will find good friends who encourage them and grow their faith. “Perfume and incense bring joy to the heart, and the pleasantness of a friend springs from their heartfelt advice.” Proverbs 27:9
God keeps surprising us with His blessings. And, even though the past couple of years have been unprecedented/historic/challenging/a real pain, He has been there with us through it all.
